Lucas Baccarin

About me

I'm Lucas Baccarin, General Manager of the Credit Business Unit at Consumidor Positivo — a credit marketplace serving around 20 million monthly users in Brazil.

I'm an engineer by training (Unicamp, with a year at Ecole des Mines de Nancy in France), but my career has been a deliberate evolution from technical foundation to business leadership. I started in sales and marketing at Johnson & Johnson, then spent nearly a decade at Red Ventures building growth engines, product teams, and partnerships — eventually stepping into C-suite as Chief Growth Officer.

Today I run the credit business unit end to end: P&L, product, growth, partnerships, and team. The work that excites me most is figuring out how to rebuild operations at scale — not just adopting new tools, but changing how decisions get made when the feedback loop shrinks from weeks to minutes.

I'm currently studying governance at Board Academy(PFCC program), building toward advisory board seats. I believe the best boards need people who've operated at scale and can connect dots across domains — what one of my professors calls being a nexialist.

Outside of work, I'm a first-year father to Rafael, an voracious reader (11,000+ highlights across 600+ sources), and someone who genuinely believes that the combination of science, technology, and entrepreneurship is the driving force for progress.
